What to expect when hiring KM makeup

FIRST CONTACT:
I will reply to you within 48 hours of your email to discuss availability.

FOLLOW-UP:
After confirming availibility, I will ask you a series of questions via email to put together a “client profile” with your information.

Logistical Details: Date, time, number of clients, event type – as many logistical details as are available at that point in time

Pictures of You:  Photos of you help me to “study” prior to doing your makeup.  Recent photos allow me to look at skin tone, texture, color, features, and bone structure.  “Favorite photos” of yourself help me to see what you like to look like in pictures and give me a clue as to how you do your own makeup.

The Look:  Ideas as to what look you're going for, whether it's pictures of celebrities or simple descriptions.  I'll be sure to extract every detail out of you that I possibly can to give you exactly what you're looking for.

Your Routine:  Assessing your usual makeup routine helps me to better meet your needs when it comes time to do your makeup.  If I know you put on 248 coats of mascara, you can bet I'll be making the most of those lashes for you.  Whereas, if you wear NO makeup, I'm not going to over do it so your future husband doesn't recognize you at the altar!

Troublespots:  Hate your skin?  Have stubby lashes?  Shiny within 20 minutes of powder?  We all have issues with the way we look, and knowing those up front allows me to prepare accordingly.

FURTHER DISCUSSION:
As questions arise, email communication is continued throughout the preparation process.  Items on the above list not previously addressed will be brought up as needed.

CONFIRMATION:
Within the week of your appointment, details will be confirmed such as location, time and the exchange of cell phone numbers.

THE DAY-OF:
I will arrive, kit in hand, ready to make the magic happen!  A seat near a window with natural lighting is prime location for makeup application, and definitely a plus.  I ask that you be without makeup or heavy products on your face.  Photographers are welcome to shoot the process, and of course friends can hang around while I work.

I will give you a mirror to hold and ask that you check yourself multiple times throughout the process to ensure your satisfaction.  I fully expect that if something is not as you wish that you will tell me so that I can fix it in a timely manner.

The typical session lasts about 45 minutes, depending on the number of distractions and the complexity of the 'look.'  After we've completed, I will hang around for an extra 5-15 minutes as necessary incase of any issues.

WHAT YOU SHOULD PROVIDE:
I will provide all makeup but strongly recommend for bridal makeup that you provide your own lip color.  You will most definitely want to touch up throughout the day during pictures and after kisses!

If you are interested in false eyelash application, you can provide your own lashes or I will provide the lashes for an extra $5.

Additional questions?  Just ask!
